Here is a selection of my acitivities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>SCHLAULUCHS &#8211; A Start-Up for science communications<\/h2>\n<p>Together with Martina Graf I founded the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.schlauluchs.de\">Schlauluchs UG<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; a Berlin located Start-Up. We designed cutting boards in bistable shapes. We thereby aim to inspire people about research on how our brains perceive the world. To put this in practice, we\u00a0manufacture usefull everyday products which do science communication. In my view a reasonable mission.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.baw-berlin.de\/\"><strong>BRAIN AWARENESS WEEK<\/strong> <\/a>(A workshop with kids @ <a href=\"http:\/\/www.die-gelbe-villa.de\/\">Gelbe Villa<\/a>): It was a pleasure to visit the 8-10 year old kids at the Gr\u00fcne Villa together with friends from the Mind and Brain Graduate School Berlin. The kids were super creative in coloring bistable-shapes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.langenachtderwissenschaften.de\/startseite.html\"><strong>LONG NIGHT OF SCIENCE<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fu-berlin.de\/sites\/langenacht\/index.html\">2016 and 2017 @ Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin<\/a>): Kids were coloring bistable shapes and during the long night I gave every hour a 15min presentation on bistable perception. We also had an EEG live demo. Kids can draw bistable images and it was possible to visit the fMRI scanner.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/fukinderuni.de\/\"><strong>CHILDREN UNIVERSITY<\/strong>\u00a0(Kinder Uni)<\/a>\u00a0@ Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin: Martina Graf (Schlauluchs UG) and I prepared different neuro-games and explained how our brains perceive the world. Particularly entertaining was how the kids performed the Stroop-Task!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>PUPILS VISIT\u00a0SCIENTISTS <\/strong>@ Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience Berlin: 12th grade pupils visited the Bernstein center. Together with other PhD students of the BCCN I presented some neuroscientific results and introduced how it is to work as scientist.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>WORK on Wikipedia<\/h2>\n<p>I am an active\u00a0Wikipedian and supervise the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Altered_States_of_Consciousness\">Wikiproject: Altered States of Consciousness<\/a>. Since several years I work within this project together with multiple studends to improve the quality of Wikipedia articles, which are directly related to my neuroscientific work.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have a deep passion for science communication (aka outreach) as I consider it a incremental aspect of scientific work.
